Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has described President Bola Tinubu’s sweeping economic reforms as a “bitter but necessary medicine” for Nigeria’s long-troubled economy.
Speaking during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration in Awka on Wednesday, Soludo acknowledged the hardship Nigerians are facing but urged citizens to brace up for the long haul.
While conceding that the changes are tough, Soludo argued they are vital for building a more stable and inclusive economy.
> “Our independence remains a powerful symbol—not just for us, but for the entire Black race—of hope, freedom, and possibility,” he noted.
Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in human capital, particularly the youth, to equip them with the tools to innovate and succeed in a changing world.
