In a major crackdown on the alleged excise scam, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Chhattisgarh on Sunday launched a series of coordinated raids across the state, targeting liquor and coal dealers suspected of involvement in financial irregularities. According to official sources, the EOW initiated surprise raids at 10 different locations spanning Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur districts. The operation is part of an ongoing investigation into a multi-crore excise scam that has rocked the state's regulatory and business circles. EOW officials were seen entering his residence with sealed documents and forensic teams, indicating the seriousness of the probe.
