Stock market ends lower after volatile session amid IT selloff, H-1B visa concerns

The Indian benchmark indices ended in negative territory on Monday after a volatile session.
The IT stocks dragged the market in the early trade after the US administration announced $100,000 fee for new H-1B visas.
The majority of Sectoral indices ended the session in negative territory amid selling pressure.
Nifty Bank fell 174.10 points, Nifty Auto slipped 65 points or 0.24 per cent, Nifty FMCG settled 266 points or 0.47 per cent lower, and Nifty IT closed 1078 points or 2.95 per cent lower.
Nifty Small Cap 100 dipped 215 points or 1.17 per cent, Nifty Midcap 100 fell 394 points or 0.67 per cent, and Nifty 100 ended the session 91 points or 0.35 per cent lower.
