White Pine Canyon up Middle Canyon has always been one of my favorites. The autumn in White Pine is something special. The Butterfield Peaks area just along the left side of White Pine Canyon also has striking aspen. (Caption: Butterfield Peaks in late September)The existence of easy trails along the side of Butterfield Pass makes for some nice hikes for people of varied degrees of conditioning. On the other side of the ridge from White Pine, Settlement Canyon has some beautiful features to watch in the autumn.
