The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston has existed for more than a century. During a joint meeting of both the District 65 and Evanston Township High School District 202 boards on Feb. 24, District 65 board members approved a two-year extension with IWSE, with the understanding that their partnership with District 65 will end in June 2027. This document asks District 65 to pay the society for fully funded enrollment, even in months when the program is under enrolled. The District 65 school board said at their Sept. 8 meeting they would vote Sept. 29 on whether to pay for full enrollment. Vick told the RoundTable that representatives from the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston will be present at Monday’s meeting.
