Bovis Construction has signed a £237m deal to deliver new Army facilities across two East Midlands sites under the Ministry of Defence’s £5.1bn estate modernisation drive.
The Defence Infrastructure Organisation confirmed Bovis will deliver major upgrades at Kendrew Barracks in Rutland and Bulwell Army Reserve Centre in Nottingham.
At Kendrew Barracks, the project will create new single living accommodation for junior ranks, alongside regimental offices, medical and catering facilities and wider site infrastructure.
The Barracks will also become home to 36 Engineer Regiment, relocating from Maidstone, with other unit moves planned from Grantham, Telford and Nottingham to enable disposal of older sites.
Bulwell ARC will see new unit offices, secure storage facilities and a band practice building.
