If it feels like every time you turn around, Consumers Energy is asking for more money, you are not wrong. According to ABC 12, the Michigan Public Service Commission just approved a $157.5 million natural gas rate hike that takes effect on November 1. For the average household, that is about six to seven dollars more a month on natural gas. This is on top of the $154 million hike they already walked away with in March.
