A new Associated Press-NORC poll finds that half of respondents think that immigrants in the country illegally affect certain government-funded programs.
A recent poll shows that more Americans believe immigrants benefit from the U.S. amid President Donald Trump’s efforts to impose new restrictions on the nation’s legal immigration system.

According to the AP, roughly 3 in 10 Republicans now admit that legal immigration should be lowered, down from 45% in January.
