Her husband King, aged 53, admitted conspiring to bring/throw/convey a List A prohibited article into/out of a prison, conspiring to bring/throw/convey a List B prohibited article into/out of a prison, and conspiring to acquire/use/possess criminal property. An Accelerated Misconduct Hearing heard that Davenport used racist/discriminatory language on a text message to her partner in April 2021. A misconduct hearing, held in August 2023, found that former detective constable, Clare Davenport, would have been dismissed without notice if she had not retired. “In 2023, we began proceedings for an accelerated misconduct hearing for gross misconduct, however Davenport retired from service prior to this process.
