Buckinghamshire Council has granted prior approval for the change of use of part of the Wakefield Building in Gomm Road, turning business space into two flats. According to the planning statement, the site is currently used as storage space for the shops below. All habitable rooms in the new flats will use existing windows, meaning there will be no external alterations. The applicant said the proposed flats would benefit from existing windows, which would provide “good levels of natural light” without the need for external alterations. The stores face onto the west side of Gomm Road, with hardstanding forming customer parking between the buildings and road.
