King Mohammed VI Launches USD 33 Mln Mental Health Rehab Center Near Casablanca

King Mohammed VI on Wednesday launched the construction of a regional psychosocial rehabilitation complex for people with mental health disorders in the province of Mediouna, Casablanca-Settat region, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity will carry out the project with a MAD 300 million (USD 33 million) investment.
The new center will provide housing, treatment, and psychosocial rehabilitation services aimed at supporting patients through stabilization and recovery.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, with support from the Ministry of Solidarity, will manage the center once completed.
The project is part of a wider action plan by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity to strengthen Morocco’s lagging healthcare system amid national calls for reform.
