man made eight reports to police of crimes that never happened, according to a criminal complaint. Gregory Tropiak, 41, of 422 Hickory Ridge Road, is charged with falsely alarming authorities about threats to public safety and making false reports to police. When officers arrived, however, they could not find an armed man near the residence. Danielle Lamont, Tropiak’s girlfriend, showed surveillance footage to officers, pointing out what she said was the armed man. “This is a culmination of several weeks of false reports into the department,” the complaint reads, listing false reports of burglary and theft beginning on April 24 and continuing through September.
