By OUR CORRESPONDENTSuhar – Sohar University laid the foundation stone for its Innovation Centre and signed several agreements in scientific research, technology and innovation on Wednesday. On the occasion, Dr Hamdan bin Sulaiman al Fazari, Vice-Chancellor of Sohar University, said the Innovation Centre will be built at a cost of RO4mn on a total area of 17,457sqm. He added that the centre represents a significant addition to the university’s efforts to support research and entrepreneurship. The building is designed to foster creativity, helping researchers and students transform ideas into products and services of economic value. “It will create an environment conducive to innovation, facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology from academia to industry, and contribute to national economic development while addressing societal needs.”
