More infoA leisure centre in Kent is having a £2.6 million "transformation" of its facilities including a new soft play centre, a café with more seating, and refurbished exercise class and indoor cycling studios.
The modernisation at Tenterden Leisure Centre also includes a revamp of the toilets and changing facilities, and new water-play features in the popular pool.
"We can’t wait to get started and open our doors to a new and improved Tenterden Leisure Centre," they said.
The centre is operated by Freedom Leisure for Ashford Borough Council, with the organisations jointly funding the work.
The council's deputy leader Steve Campkin said: "We are pleased to be investing in the future of Tenterden Leisure Centre alongside Freedom Leisure.
