62-Year-Old Succumbs to Injuries Weeks After Accident

SRINAGAR: A 62-year-old man from Pulwama, who was injured in a road traffic accident at Pantha Chowk in August, succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar.
The deceased has been identified as Altaf Ahmad Pandith, son of Abdul Gani Pandith, a resident of Wuthor Pulwama.
Police and hospital sources said that the accident occurred on August 31 when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck at Pantha Chowk, resulting in severe injuries.
Pandith, who sustained multiple injuries in the collision, was rushed to SMHS Hospital by the truck driver, identified as Abdul Hamid Bhat, a resident of Khanmoh.
Despite receiving medical treatment for a month, doctors at SMHS Hospital confirmed that Pandith succumbed to his injuries late Tuesday evening.
