In an interview with Jimmy V3 (via Fightful), Anthony Bowens spoke about how Santino Marella helped him start his wrestling training, by getting him in touch with Pat Buck. He said: “So back in 2012, I was at the gym and Santino Morella happened to be at the gym, and I’m not a guy who likes to bother anybody, but I was like, ‘when am I ever going to see this guy again?’ So I took a photo with him, and he stopped me, and he said, ‘hey, you look like a pro wrestler. Have you ever thought about becoming one?’ I was like, ‘yeah, that’d be great.’ and he gave me the number to Pat Buck, who also is a producer here at All Elite Wrestling, and I started right away the next week.“
