Lewis Pearce was 19 when he attacked the woman in her 20s as she slept at a friend's home in April 2021 in Colden Common. Pearce, of Gort Crescent in Southampton, tried to evade police and was reported missing after the woman told officers about the attack. Now the 23-year-old will spend six years behind bars for his crime after he was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court today. The court heard the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, woke up to find him assaulting her before she pushed him off. He said: “Mr Pearce did not appear in the magistrates’ court until 2024 and I do not know how that is justified.
