Its primary goal is to develop a simple, practical household flood plan that will assist people in taking proactive measures to protect themselves from floods. With climate change increasing the frequency and severity of floods, many Scottish households remain ill-prepared. Dr Fiona Henderson, who is leading the project, said: “Flooding is one of Scotland’s biggest climate challenges, but too few people feel prepared. The project is commissioned by the Scottish Government, SEPA (Scottish Environment Protection Agency) and the Scottish Flood Forum, which will assist in distributing the plan to the most at-risk communities. “Glasgow Caledonian University is committed to tackling real-world challenges.
