Police Scotland has named the locations of 120 speed cameras across Scotland that are inactive, and 49 of those can be found in Glasgow and its surrounding areas. Safety Cameras Scotland, the operator of these devices, stated that they can remain dormant for up to three years, after which a decision will be made about whether to reactivate or abandon them.
