The Third Circuit Judicial District Drug Intervention Court marked a milestone Tuesday with its 20th graduation ceremony at the Lafayette County Courthouse, where 36 individuals were recognized for completing the program. The court, overseen by Circuit Court Judges Kelly Luther and Gray Tollison, is designed to help participants with substance use disorders rebuild their lives through treatment, close supervision, frequent court appearances and random drug testing. “It’s the most cost-effective program in the state,” Luther said. That’s what drug court is about. When you walk out you won’t need any bumpers… make good choices … choose life.”
