(File)TCS Layoffs: Amid the backlash over large-scale layoffs, Tata Group’s Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)– India’s largest IT services exporter– has been accused of forcing around 2,500 employees in to resign from their positions. In Pune alone, nearly 2,500 employees have been forced to resign or have been abruptly removed in recent weeks,” the employees’ body said. However, NITES alleged that TCS layoffs violated Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, as no notice has been given to the government in this regard.
