A Newark man is facing murder charges after police say he led investigators to a body hidden in rural Wayne County. Officers arrested 35-year-old Jared C. Nesmith following a joint investigation by the Newark Police Department and New York State Police. On September 30, police got a tip from a caller who overheard someone talking about a killing — and said the body had been dumped in the Sodus area. During the interview, Nesmith reportedly gave information that helped officers find the victim’s body along the Zurich Bog Trail.
