A fatal traffic accident occurred just before midnight on Thursday (11.08.2025) on the BOAK road in Crete. A 20-year-old foreign national attempted to cross the road on foot and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old. Police and an ambulance from EKAV rushed to the scene, but the young woman had already died on the BOAK road in Crete. The 21-year-old driver was arrested, and the investigation into the cause of the accident has been taken over by the 2nd BOAK Traffic Station.
