Early in the afternoon on Friday (12.09.2025), Giorgos Mazonakis arrived at the courts to file a complaint against the individuals responsible for his unlawful confinement at the Dromokaiteio Psychiatric Hospital. This development had been revealed earlier by the singer’s lawyer, Giorgos Merkoulidis, during an interview on Katerina Karavata’s show, emphasizing that Mazonakis is hurt, bitter, and outraged. Merkoulidis explained earlier: ‘Today we will go to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Athens Court of First Instance to file a complaint against those responsible for the illegal confinement at Dromokaiteio. These individuals include family members and a family friend.’ He added, ‘We will not pursue legal action against the doctors, despite certain issues that occurred. Today’s complaint relates to false statements and defamatory publicity,’ stressing that they are seeking punishment for those involved and hinting at further legal actions to follow.
