The 18-year-old accused of brutally assaulting a 13-year-old in Sykies, Thessaloniki, will remain under house arrest following a disagreement between the investigating judge and the prosecutor regarding his pre-trial detention. The dispute, concerning the legal handling of the case, will be resolved by the Thessaloniki Court of First Instance in the coming days. The 13-year-old victim was with two friends when a group of around 11 individuals attacked him with sticks and other objects. Following police investigations, the 18-year-old was arrested after being identified by two of the victim’s friends. During his interrogation, he denied any involvement in the attack, claiming to have been at a distant restaurant with friends at the time.
