An alarm sounded on Friday afternoon 12.09.2025 for a fire that broke out in the Oropos area of Attica. The fire is burning in a ravine with reeds in the Sykaminos Oropos area and is not threatening residential areas. Immediately, fire department forces arrived at the scene with 2 vehicles, 7 firefighters, 1 tanker from the local municipality, and 1 team of forest firefighters from EMOODE to contain the blaze. Earlier, a fire had also broken out in the courtyard of a factory in Oinofyta, which was quickly brought under control.
