The 18-year-old accused of brutally assaulting a 13-year-old in Sykies, Thessaloniki, will remain under house arrest following a disagreement between the investigating judge and the prosecutor over whether he should be detained. The dispute regarding the legal handling of the case will be resolved by the Court of First Instance in Thessaloniki, which is set to convene in the coming days. The 13-year-old victim was with two friends when a group of about 11 individuals attacked him with sticks and other objects, causing injuries. Following investigations, the 18-year-old was arrested after being identified by two of the victim’s friends. The victim’s father stated that his child sustained head wounds and was attacked by a group of 10 to 15 people.
