Athens Times
‘I’m in pain…’ were the words whispered by the injured passenger from his hospital bed following a severe car crash on the Olympia Odos.
The 69-year-old, who was a passenger in the vehicle that collided head-on with a car driven by a 70-year-old woman, says he remembers nothing of the incident.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening (11.09.2025) when the elderly driver entered the opposite lane of traffic.
The man, currently hospitalized at the University Hospital of Patras, explained that he suddenly saw a car in front of them.
Kontostanos tragically lost his life on the National Road from Athens to Patras near Panagopoula after being hit by the vehicle driven the wrong way by the 70-year-old woman.
