A private equity banker handed himself and his team a £6.3million bonus as they plotted a secret move to a rival firm, a court has heard. Mr Wheeler, who is now the chief executive of the rival firm, tried to have the case against him thrown out but was unsuccessful. According to his LinkedIn, Mr Wheeler started working for BISL in October 2009 but left last year. Mr Wheeler led a team of over 100 employees, including people who were employed in the USA, Europe and Asia. BISL offered to suspend the court case in the UK until a related case in the US had been wrapped up.
