At least eight people, including women and children, were shot dead by unknown assailants in their house in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P)According to the police, the incident took place within the limits of Sarai Naurang police station in Takhti Khel. According to preliminary reports, among the eight people in the house, two children and two women were killed in the late-night attack. The dead were shifted to a nearby hospital and officials are collecting evidence from the incident site. In another incident, at least five members of a family were killed and one was injured in an attack in Rawalpindi. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Chountra police station when unknown assailants opened fire on individuals travelling in a car.
