A former Eastenders actor died of multi-organ failure after NHS staff were unable to immediately access his CT scans, an inquest heard. Surgeons then decided that due to the damage to organs Mr Richards was unlikely to survive any operation. Mr Walker extended his deepest condolences to the family and said: 'Mr Richards was an actor living in Epsom in Surrey. The coroner read a statement from Imperial College Healthcare Trust which said Mr Richards died of multi-organ failure following aortic dissection. But he added: 'There is no suggestion of any evidence of any delay that contributed more than minimally or trivially to Mr Richards' death.'
