This fall, the EU will begin accepting concrete proposals for the construction of such gigantic data centers. The EU and its member states are providing 10 billion euros for the construction of AI factories and intend to establish a fund with an additional 20 billion. Critics from European industry, though, see the Commission as more of a hurdle – primarily because of the AI Act, which is intended to reduce the possible risks associated with artificial intelligence.
