Students have until Oct. 4 to enter a public service announcement film competition promoting drug-free and vape-free lifestyles, mindfulness, healthy coping strategies or kindness. There are cash prizes for the first-place winner and the runner-up. The contest is led by Tyson Multimedia in partnership with the Wilson County Department of Social Services. The PSA competition is open to all Wilson County students ages 10 to 18 from any school. The runner-up prizes include $150, a medal for each team member, certificate of achievement and PSA recognized on website and social media.
