Springfield Middle claimed the upper hand in the first volleyball battle with Wilson County rival Elm City on Monday, Sept. 22, as the Wildcats prevailed in four sets on the Vikings' floor. Carson Price led the Wildcats with 10 aces as part of her 26 service points. Skylar Kirby rang up eight aces in her 14 service points while dealing out six assists. Mollie Dilda totaled five aces, three kills, two blocks and two assists while Allison Wilson put together six aces, three kills and two digs. The Wildcats welcome Rocky Mount Parker on Wednesday when the Vikings host Forest Hills.
