EDINBURGH Community Food (ECF) is set to officially open its new “kitchen” hub, with Scottish celebrity chef Tony Singh MBE cutting the ribbon. The new hub will open on Monday 6 October at 11am, offering services like holistic support for vulnerable individuals and families as part of the National Strategy of Whole Family Support, which aims to eradicate child poverty. The new “kitchen” hub will feature trailing plants and colourful fruit and vegetables. “At the heart of our plans is the kitchen, not just for cooking, but for connection and culture. In fact, 91% of families tell us that good food makes a real difference to family life.
