The Columbus East Olympians faced a tall task Tuesday night on the road against Bloomington South, and though they battled hard, the Panthers controlled the match in a 25-14, 25-21, 25-15 victory. Addy Dean also tallied five kills, showing the Olympians (10-16) could generate firepower when in system. Freshman Kenlee Gault chipped in four assists, and Kadence Miller added an ace serve to round out the Olympian effort. Though the loss stings, East flashed resiliency in the second set when they pushed South to a narrow margin. With rival Columbus North looming on the schedule, the Olympians know they’ll need to raise their game for the crosstown showdown.
