Recently, Microsoft started testing the ability to use video wallpapers on Windows 11. The feature has been spotted in the latest Windows 11 builds, and it allows users to set video files, such as MP4 or MKV, as the desktop wallpaper. To provide some context, Microsoft previously supported video wallpapers in Windows Vista through a feature called DreamScene, available in the Ultimate version of Vista. The dynamic wallpapers were initially scheduled to ship in 2023, but were never included in the release version of Windows 11. In late August, Microsoft introduced a handoff-like feature for Windows 11, enabling users to open an app (such as Spotify) on their Android device and quickly launch it on their computer.
