The A5093 in Kirksanton is set to be shut to all traffic, including pedestrians and cyclists, at the level crossing while work is carried out. The closure will be in effect from 9.15pm on Saturday, October 11, until 8am on Sunday, October 12. It will then be closed again from 9.15pm on Saturday, October 25, until 8am on Sunday, October 26. An alternative route for vehicles will be signposted and available via the unrestricted sections of the A5093, Millom, and A595. However, it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for the two weekends outlined above.
