25 Words tells the story of Barrow soldier Michael Lowden, who was captured during the Second World War and held as a prisoner of war (POW) after the fall of Singapore.
It will be performed at Barrow Town Hall on November 8 and 9 as part of Theatre Factory’s IF!
Mr Fegan, writer and playwright, said: "Michael’s story is dramatic.
While in captivity, Mr Lowden’s family was permitted to send him just 25 words each month.
Mr Fegan said: "It must’ve been so difficult to try to convey feelings in such little words.
