Terry’s Fish and Chip Shop on Crompton Way will welcome customers back on October 1, with promises to serve the same fish and chips that made it a local favourite.
The shop shut last November following the death of co-owner Sue Prothero, who ran the business alongside her husband Terry Helliwell for 14 years.
The couple built the takeaway into a community favourite, with queues often spilling onto the pavement and regulars returning week after week.
Nabi Safi, who ran LA Pizza next door for 15 years, said his plan is simple - keep the chippy just as people remember it.
It’s about keeping alive the love and community spirit that made Terry’s a Bolton staple.
