This led to a crucial meeting between TEWU leadership, FWSC, and employer institutions on 29 September 2025.
A follow-up meeting has been scheduled with the FWSC for Tuesday, 7th October 2025, to conclude negotiations and sign the relevant agreements.
However, the union stressed that the decision amounts to a suspension, not a cancellation of the strike.
TEWU also cautioned against any form of victimisation of its members for participating in the strike.
TEWU reaffirmed its commitment to lawful and constructive engagement with government, while continuing to advocate for improved conditions of service for its members.
