Former President Goodluck Jonathan has urged Nigerians to embrace patriotism, optimism, and faith as the nation marks its 65th Independence Anniversary. He acknowledged that insecurity, economic inequality, and institutional weaknesses continue to test national progress but maintained that Nigerians must not lose faith in the country’s potential. “Nigeria is a blessed nation, endowed with vast land, abundant natural resources, and, above all, the ingenuity and creativity of the people,” Jonathan said. “Let us hold firmly to optimism and faith, knowing that the greatness of our country is within reach if we remain united and steadfast,” he added. Jonathan concluded by wishing the country continued progress, strength, and purpose as it marks its 65th year of independence.
