Professor Tokpa explained that the Governance Commission is an independent and autonomous government body. The Sierra Leonean delegation presented their progress in governance and public sector reform through a PowerPoint presentation. Both leaders expressed strong interest in learning from each other’s experiences, especially as Liberia and Sierra Leone prepare for the second-generation review of the African Peer Review Mechanism.
