Comments for TV Tonight
The HackMore than a mere newspaper hacking tale, a complex new UK drama requires concentration but delivers ripping performances.
Their paths cross briefly in episode two, culminating in a greater exchange of information as the series unfolds.
But it does require some concentration as it shifts from an old-fashioned reporter-chasing-corruption tale to a cold case true crime.
Unexpectedly David Tennant frequently breaks the fourth wall to speak directly to camera, presumably as a device to counterbalance hefty background and context to scenes and characters.
In any case, the performances directed by Lewis Arnold are superb and grow increasingly richer as the story proceeds.
