This October marks 50 years since the iconic boxing match known as the “Thrilla in Manila” was held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, also called The Big Dome. Located in Araneta City, in Quezon City, the Big Dome is one of Asia’s largest indoor arenas, with a seating capacity of 20,000. The venue’s significance was cemented by the Thrilla in Manila, making it a key site for historic events in the country.
