Photo by Halli / XHaraldur Thorleifsson, better known as Halli, announced yesterday on X that a new creative community space, Hlemmur.haus, is set to open on October 1. It’s been three years since the launch of Hafnar.haus, Reykjavík’s creative community space. “It’s a non profit so we can offer very low rent on studios, as well as a community of 300 like-minded-people,” said Halli. “Today we’re opening up applications for a second location, with space for a few hundred more,” reads the announcement. Haus is a non-profit organisation founded in 2022 by a team of Reykjavík creatives led by Haraldur Thorleifsson.
