According to RÚV, in the early hours of Sunday, September 14, the man entered the family’s home at night and assaulted a child of primary school age. RÚV reports that there is some dissatisfaction among police officers regarding the suspect’s release. Recently, the Court of Appeal rejected a police request in another case concerning sexual abuse of a child, a decision which also caused discontent among the police.
