Rebates lower sales tax revenue in several Northwest Arkansas cities

Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers and Springdale sales tax revenue totaled $9.736 million in the September report, down 1.79% from the year-ago period.
Bentonville reported sales tax revenue of $2.03 million for the month, its lowest number for the month since 2020.
Through August, Bentonville’s sales tax revenue has been offset by $8.047 million in rebates, 36.25% higher than a year ago.
Rogers reported sales tax revenue of $2.666 million, up 1.59%, the slowest growth rate for September data over the past decade.
