Sri Pelancongan Sabah Chief Executive Officer, Thonny Chee, in his speech emphasized that Sabah Fest is not merely a cultural event but also a crucial platform to present Sabah’s heritage and creativity to the world. Various activities were held throughout September, across Kota Kinabalu, including performances at Lintasan Deasoka, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Suria Sabah, and Imago Shopping Mall. The highlight of the celebration, Sabah Fest Extravaganza, took place on September 27 and 28 at the Sabah International Convention Centre, featuring star performers such as Marsha Milan, Datuk Francis Landong, Dabra Sia and Elica Paujin. Chee stressed that Sabah Fest will continue to grow into a regional cultural tourism brand that not only boosts the local economy but also raises Sabah’s profile on the international stage.
