A Houschton developer has applied for a rezoning application from the City of Lavonia to build 10 new homes in the Roberts/Mason Streets area. Ken Gary came before the Lavonia Planning and Zoning Board Monday night, asking for 2.47 acres to be rezoned from R1A to R1B to build 10 homes along Roberts, Mason, and Burgess Sts. According to the plans, Gary’s company will build three new homes on Mason Street, three on Roberts St., and four on Burgess St. Questions arose from the Planning and Zoning Board regarding road access and sewer extensions. It must now go to the Lavonia City Council for review and approval.
